Bungie is looking for a Narrative Designer (ND) who will focus on supporting partners on the Destiny IP. The ND coordinates with the Project Narrative Lead Narrative team to create content for the partner project. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working inside an established tone and style and be able to take direction while bringing to bear their own creative talents.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own, design and implement globally-appealing narrative moments, dialogue and cinematic content
- Maintain tone and style of the established IP
- Partner with Narrative leadership across project teams to bring globally-appealing fiction to the gameplay experience
- Generate and maintain story treatments, character bios, environment guides, casting documents, and other supporting narrative documentation
- Prepare reference materials and scripts for recording sessions
- Mentor and guide the team members to level up their narrative craft and core development competencies
- Promote excellence in storytelling craft through feedback to partners
- Empower an imaginative and fun work environment
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in game narrative design and writing, or a demonstrable understanding of game narrative, with a preference for AAA or MMO titles
- Demonstrated skills in dramatic writing for the spoken word (screenplays, stage plays, etc.)
- Ability to iterate and react to feedback in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Ability to assess and emulate the tone, themes, and character voices of an established IP
- Strong game, prose, and cinematics writing abilities
- A passion for and knowledge of narrative in games and other interactive experiences
- Comfortable working with proprietary toolsets
- Exemplary interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-culture and multi-time zone team
- Must be able to take direction well, yet own and drive tasks
- Exceptional team player with the ability to collaborate towards achieving product goals
- Willingness to shift core hours later as necessary to accommodate meetings across time-zones (typically 5-8pm PST)
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience working on a live game ("games as a service")
- Chinese (Mandarin) language skills are highly desirable
