Senior Narrative Designer / Copywriter - Pitching (Hybrid)

Our projects continue to push forward the boundaries of VR and we’re looking for talented people to help us turn them into a reality. Our talented studio now has over 100 people and has been assembled from world-leading games developers and publishers.

We are looking for a senior narrative designer/copywriter to join our newly formed pitching team, working with internal stakeholders to create, implement and drive the pitch design. You would be a master wordsmith who crafts the pitches’ narrative, emphasising the key attributes of the projects we’re pitching on and reporting to the Principal Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Principal Designer (Pitching) in developing the direction of the pitches.
• Lead on the naming of key concepts/characters/items in the game, taking into account the direction of branding and of the game.
• Develop the storyboard of the pitch and create drafts of the presentation text.
• Throughout the development of the pitch, make necessary changes of the presentation arising from constructive feedback, to optimize the messaging we’re delivering to the target audience.
• Work with a multi-talented pitching team to ensure that the narrative of the pitches are impactful and garner positive attention.

Requirements

Essential capabilities:

An excellent understanding of VR game design.

Strong writing and editing skills.

Master user of presentation software such as PowerPoint.

Accomplished background in creative writing.

Strong listening and communication skills.

Self-motivated and pro-active with a strong work ethic.

Commercial awareness and up to date on current video games trends.

Desired experience:

Knowledge of Game Design, Creative Writing, Literature or equivalent gained through practical work experience and/or academic studies.

Experience working with marketing materials a bonus.

Some knowledge of scheduling and project management.

Salary is competitive and dependent on your experience.
