We are looking for a Senior/ Mid Economy Designer to work with the most experienced and successful members of the Ten Square Games team on a brand new game with huge potential. What will be your responsibilities?
- Being a champion for the game's vision, ensuring it is well understood in the team and company, and use this as a tool to keep development moving in the right direction.
- Solving complex economy design problems for both their own features and that of the wider team.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of new members of the design family.
- Using knowledge of the economy, design to inform project plans and hold the team accountable for hitting project standards.
What do we require?
Math & economy skills:
- Seeing economy as a joint system and is aware that change in one element can lead to many others. Thinks globally, works locally.
- Knowing various mathematical elements, such as: distributions, regressions, logarithms, derivatives, etc. and can use the proper solution to a given problem.
- Being able to create complicated functions connecting many elements to steer up the economy.
- Knowing monetization-related occurrences and is willing to prevent them (e.g. canibalization, burn out promotions, insurances, etc.
Analytical skills:
- Presenting complicated graphs using different scales and visual combinations.
- Creating complicated simulations based on data from Business Analysts with many factors included, e.g. time, probabilities, distributions, etc.
- Proposing additional segmentation, players grouping, etc. to improve user experience and/or monetization.
- Proposing possible quick wins in terms of monetization and sales.
Design skills:
- Defining the vision of the game which is behind the proposed design.
- Specifying how the design will behave and what the benefits for product and players are at the same time.
- Proposing and seeking (for good AB testing) opportunities to improve the quality of the game.
- Proposing solutions that may improve the model through the automatization or simplification of processes.
- Proposing a new promotion/challenge and ensure a significant impact on the liveops calendar.
Tools:
- Knowledge of most of the available features of Excel/Google sheets.
- Ability to write a simple function/programme in VBA to support Excel efficiency.
- Ability to create presentations/design descriptions with clue values for Game Design or Project Management.
- Ability to use Market Research and Data Visualisation tools with high proficiency, is capable of answering questions and identifying opportunities within and without.
