Senior Marketing Manager - Publishing Strategy - 12 Months FTC

Job Summary:
Square Enix, the company behind some of the world’s most popular action and RPG brands including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Outriders, is looking for a highly strategic, experienced, motivated marketing leader, who can deliver the full commercial potential of our portfolio of games across Europe, the Americas, and Australia / New Zealand.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Manager will work on the creation of integrated marketing strategies that are innovative and engaging to drive commercial success across the portfolio of titles for the designated Creative Business Unit (CBU).
Working closely with cross functional leads in the Publishing team, the Senior Marketing Manager will be able to collaborate across a dynamic global business, wider cross-functional teams, and regional teams to deliver best in class publishing strategies for assigned titles.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Works closely with other Publishing Team members comprised of cross functional leads for PR, Social, Community, Creative, Project management to build integrated Publishing Strategies for assigned titles.
- Supports the Marketing lead in inputs to the Publishing Strategy for assigned titles within the CBU portfolio. Identifies targeting and positioning proposition, knowledge gaps and research needs for projects in alignment with the Marketing Lead of the Publishing Team.
- Works with Regional and Shared Services teams to gather input and build alignment around media strategies, partnership strategies and owned channel strategies under the guidance of the Marketing Lead, Publishing Strategy.
- Supports the Publishing Strategy Marketing Lead and Marketing Director in working closely with regional teams to communicate and deliver key project updates to milestones, features, strategies, and business objectives.
- For assigned titles, works with the Marketing Lead to identify 18-month key marketing beats, campaign calendar from announce through to post-launch support.
- Tracks performance of the campaign and commercial performance against targets and provides regular reporting to the Marketing Lead, working closely with the Sales Planner.
- Works closely with the Publishing Strategy Marketing Lead, Marketing Director and Regional Senior Marketing Directors to assist in briefing and presenting important topics to the Regional teams including project kick-offs and the reveal of the Publishing Strategy in line with Publishing schedules and Go To Market planning timelines.
- Provides input to Regional Marketing teams’ Go To Market plans and ensures that they are on brand.
- Briefs and oversees the creation and delivery of marketing campaign assets localization. Works with development teams to identify assets to be created for Western use and where those assets will be created. For externally created assets, works with Creative team to brief agencies, evaluate work, and obtain necessary internal approvals.
- Manages the creation and localization of Store text and metadata with Square Enix Japan and European Localization QA Team. Oversees First party submissions from the Localization QA Team.
- Briefs the internal Creative team and oversees creation and approval of Packaging Materials.
- Prepares website project scope and CRM briefs and oversees the creation and content of owned channels.
- Assists the Publishing Strategy Lead and Marketing lead in monthly reporting on all campaign activity and commercial status of assigned titles.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience of strategic planning and executing game, relevant entertainment, or technology marketing campaigns, having worked on large game projects previously.
- Degree level of education or equivalent, and/or CIM qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of the Western games market.
- Experience of working across multi-disciplinary departments and international markets including, Europe, Australasia, North America, and Japan.
- Good and confident communicator / presenter, with proven ability of communicating with a diverse number of international stakeholders.
- Very good project management capability.
- Ability to brief, manage & modify campaigns across touchpoints to excite and engage consumers.
- Good experience of tracking campaign results via previously agreed measures.
- Excellent at writing detailed briefs and presentations.
