Senior Marketing Manager, Global Media

The 505 Games Senior Marketing Manager, Global Media will work within the Global Marketing team to plan and oversee paid marketing strategies to increase sales and profitability of our releases. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with agencies, owning not just the day-to-day campaign planning and execution process for NA, but will also work closely with the international marketing, brand, social and influencer teams on global media strategy. This is an important role and requires a blending of strategic media knowledge on a global level and relationship management between agencies, and internal groups.
In addition to the above, this is a role that necessitates an understanding of the customer journey and tactics designed to drive and create awareness then seamlessly manage a conversion to purchase. This person should have a passion for video games and entertainment along with a consumer-focused mindset.
This role will be based in our US office. 505 Games currently operates a hybrid work schedule, with all employees expected to join the workplace in Calabasas, California two day a week.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the global and regional marketing team to identify and prioritize potential opportunities for paid media investments.
- Manage 505’s global network of external media agencies. Work closely with teams to identify and decide on external agency requirements as needed.
- Support regional and local marketing teams in building paid media capabilities and training.
- Create global media agency briefs, oversee regional and local media planning, review media mix recommendations, and evaluate campaign performance
- Continue to manage day-to-day execution of paid media campaigns for NA covering:
- Delivery of creative specs to internal teams and tracking creative hand-off to agencies
- Provide recommendation and best practices on creative cut-downs and asset creation
- Analyze paid media results and reports on a weekly and post-campaign basis
- Ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Develop and promote a wide range of global best practices, standards and policies related to paid media and govern compliance to drive global efficiencies and minimize risk.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and targeting techniques
- Share knowledge to internal teams on media planning
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Marketing or Communications
- 5-10 years related work experience either within an agency or a media department at a company
- Knowledge of the gaming and/or entertainment space
Requirements & Skills
- Understanding of marketing and media planning principles
- Add value through active participation in meetings, contribution while setting campaign strategies and tactics. Be not afraid to speak up and have a point of view.
- Passion for storytelling, games, branded entertainment, characters, and worlds – we wish you to love these products and the characters that they are based on!
- The ability and want to track the success of multiple concurrent campaigns simultaneously – sharing results, key learnings, and insights that can be applied on a go-forward basis.
- Experience planning and managing digital campaigns (including emerging platforms/technologies, partner direct, programmatic, social, and search)
- Strong understanding of media metrics and measurement (CTR, VCR, viewability, DCM, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Excel, including, but not limited to, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s
- Cultural awareness and the perspective to work with our international team.
- Being proactive with a clearly defined ability to work independently.
