The future of entertainment is interactive, and our Marketing team plays an important role in this future by building content, culture, and community around our brands. We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our amazing franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. We're a multi-functional group, with world-class expertise in building fandoms, driving interactive storytelling, and positioning our franchises at the centre of the broader entertainment ecosystem.
The Marketing Copy Production team is looking for a writer to join this small, tactical group focused on producing high-volume, high-quality copy for EA's Subscription Services and PC Gaming, EA Play and EA app for Windows. We aim to blend insights with storytelling and technology to push the boundaries of marketing. This is a collaborative team, so it's important to be someone who isn't afraid to ask questions while focusing on output. You'll work with multiple partner teams on everything from emails to in-game assets – and there's nothing like the feeling of seeing your words on an Xbox or PlayStation screen and knowing millions of players will too. You will work with a team spanning the globe, reporting to the Creative Lead of the Marketing Copy Team. For this role, we are open to a hybrid work model or being remote. Please note that this is a 12 month temporary role.
Responsibilities:
- The ability to write end-to-end campaign copy across the EA and first-party marketing ecosystem
- Partner with design teams to help uphold our visual look, feel, and messaging across multiple brand-level campaigns under the guidance of EA GAMES' creative and senior leadership
- Experience with the melding of creativity and technology to help make our team's production process efficient and partner-friendly
- A deep sense of curiosity and willingness to ask questions and work with a variety of teams and partners throughout the marketing organisation and beyond
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience as a marketing copywriter
- Portfolio examples of short-form copy (emails, ad banners, web copy, etc.)
- Experience working on brand campaigns from vision to completion
- Entertainment industry or video game experience would be great
