Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Class 2 gaming machines will be responsible for leading all New Product Introduction activities necessary to develop, implement and optimize the manufacturing assembly process for new and refurbished electronic gaming machines built at the Tulsa Integration centre. This candidate will work closely with a cross-functional engineering team ranging from R&D Hardware Design, ERP Systems, Project Management, Quality and Production and participate in the complete design cycle concept to final assembled product. This is a highly visible senior role and leads a group of up to but not limited to 10 multi-disciplined engineers (mechanical, industrial, electronics etc).

This position is a fulltime position within the Advanced manufacturing Engineering group and is based at Aristocrat’s integration center at Tulsa Oklahoma. H1 transfer will be provided to appropriate candidates already holding an existing H1 visa

Pay Range

$122,577-$227,643

What you'll do

• Leadership responsibility for NPI and plant capital equipment.
• Develop internal company procedures to support transition of concept, prototype development to production e.g., creating and refining manufacturing BOMs, developing manufacturing engineering workflows and procedures and supporting engineering change orders.
• Lead development of repeatable and capable manufacturing processes with emphasis on mechanical assembly and testing of electromechanical components and subassemblies
• Technical innovator for manufacturing process technologies that will help achieving Cost, Safety, Quality and On-time Delivery requirements
• Design and improve manufacturing equipment, assembly, test fixtures and initiate capital equipment requests.
• Capacity and capability planning and implementation for short term and long-term life cycle objectives
• Manage engineering resources to assure project completion on time and accurately. Build, coach and mentor a capable engineering team and hold them accountable to meeting performance.
• Identify and keep current with industry trends and best practices to increase the engineering team technical capabilities
• Strong customer satisfaction orientation (external & internal), committed to continuous improvement
Ensure latest design changes and ECOs are presented to production in a timely and effective manner, coordinating with all relevant departments, capturing the latest products and changes ensuring no compliance breaches or delays to release.
• Work concurrently with all departments and OH&S creating a safe working environment by assessing and installing where required ergonomic equipment, procedures, and plant layout specific to the operation.
• Manage the development of production improvement processes incorporating line layout, equipment and procedures to obtain efficiencies using best practices to increase productivity while operating within OH&S regulations.
• Utilize PI tools including A3’s, DMAIC, PDCA, VSM’s, and others to develop data for exceptional results.
• As an associate of Quality, follow up with quality issues and where necessary ensure ECR has been raised, where required, and monitor progress of ECO and quality rectifications back to production and or supplier. Support ISO process as relevant.
• Provide accurate content to the Training department to assist in workforce training content creation.

What we're looking for

• 10 years experience out of which at least 5 years of experience leading technical teams in new product or process development (with emphasis in electro-mechanical assembly) in Automotive, Medical, Capital or Industrial equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or related, Advanced degree preferred
• Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and Global Supply Chains
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD/ Autocad
• Hands on technical problem solver
• Strong PC skills with Microsoft products
• High organization and time management skills
• Proven ability to manage projects effectively
• Proven self-starter and highly self-motivated.
• Drive to action and results oriented
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
• Ability to travel (10%) to and from other integration centers, namely Las Vegas integration center
• Gaming industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership with peers and direct reports
• Managing people or teams across multiple sites
• Certified LEAN or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
• TPS or DBS certified
• PMP, MBA
• Training experience
