Activision Blizzard Esports’ Call of Duty League and Overwatch League broadcast team is looking for an experienced senior manager with applied skills to manage all aspects of broadcast on-air talent.

This senior manager will work side by side with our in-house legal team and external production partners to oversee all aspects of contract negotiations and legal processes for all on-air talent and influencers for multiple broadcast products including Overwatch League, Call of Duty League, CDL Challengers, CoD Mobile, World Series of Warzone and any potential future products and projects. This role requires confident decision-making on behalf of the overall broadcast product—including working with on-air talent in a development capacity (must be able to provide constructive feedback and coaching). They will work with various departments and vendors to manage all additional administrative aspects as it pertains to on-air talent including but not limited to scheduling, travel, lodging, immigration work visas, and more. Ideal candidates must have strong background in contract negotiation and talent management. Their creative problem-solving skills must be stellar, they must be able to work quickly and efficiently, to multitask with a high-volume, fast-pace workload, and to remain productive and positive in high-pressure situations. Impeccable organizational and time-management skills are also an absolute must. You are a highly collaborative leader, thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, and influence multiple stakeholders by skillfully gathering, analyzing, distilling, and actioning critical information.

Responsibilities:

· Comprehensively manage all details of League broadcast on-air talent (approx. 30-50 annually) from contracting to day to day and strategic management.

· Work hand-in-hand with various internal departments and stakeholders including Broadcast, Product, Content, IT, Competition Operations, Partnerships, Business Operations, Marketing, and PR to skillfully gather and distill goals, expectations, and requirements as it relates to broadcast talent.

· Manage influencer contracting and programming for all League franchise broadcast products in partnership with marketing.

· Specific focus on creative development for talent-centric pitches and projects for content and broadcast products

· Develop and manage a robust talent development program and infrastructure.

· Partner with Legal team to manage immigration processes and help obtain work visas when necessary.

· Support on-air talent budget development, management, and reconciliation. This includes partnering with the Legal and Accounts Payable teams to manage the contracting and payment processes. Includes high-level budget management, tracking, and projections across the ABE talent roster.

· Establish clear success criteria and KPIs that drive comprehensive post-season analysis and reporting.

· Liaise with production partners to ensure all on-air talent requirements are met.

· Evaluate all aspects of on-air talent, including processes and procedures, with the goal of improving quality as well as cost and time efficiencies.

· Maintain on-going expertise of the esports space as it pertains to on-air talent and broadcast products.

· Develop individual goals that are measurable and tie into overall team and company goals and initiatives.

Requirements:

· 7+ years’ experience in broadcast production

· 3+ years’ experience in a broadcast management position

· Experience with contract negotiations

· Experience with on-air talent management

· Self-starting with the ability to handle multiple demanding projects simultaneously

· Experience in personnel and/or resource management

· Impeccable organizational and time-management abilities

· Exceptional creative and logistical problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude

· Remarkable attention to detail as well as ability to understand the big picture

· Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential matters

· Ability to remain productive and positive in high-pressure situations

· Solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

· Travel required
