Senior Manager Risk and Audit UK

This role is critical to supporting the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives by:

• Championing best practice in governance, risk management and controls, and internal audit to help improve the effectiveness of risk management and controls across the business;
• Partnering with the business, including the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) to assess the governance and management of risks as the business pursues strategic opportunities, to drive insight, challenge and help deliver on the business’s commitments and strategy;
• Providing support and guidance on the management of emerging risks;
• Driving participation in the Business Resilience Program (BRP) to ensure continuity in the face of crisis;
• Delivering best in class internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of processes and controls; and
• Responding to whistleblower and fraud events to ensure appropriate conduct across the business.
• The successful candidate will be a thought leader able to manage a diverse set of global risks, multiple competing priorities and senior business partners. They will partner closely with many cross-functional business partners globally to develop and implement a risk strategy and evaluate their management of risks through internal audit. They will possess an ability to evaluate daily operations while foreseeing and planning for the company's future needs.
• It is expected the role will operate across multiple timezones and will require some travel, once it is safe to resume, to ensure satisfactory execution of responsibilities.

What we would like you to know:

• Candidate will preferably have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance/business, risk management or related field. Certifications/qualifications in risk management/internal audit would be viewed favourably.
• Strong working knowledge of business operations and processes and governance.

What we would like you to have done:

• A minimum of eight years’ experience of applicable experience.
• Engaged with senior executives on a regular basis.
• Led key risk management work streams at prior organisations.
• Worked in a global organisation with multi-regional experience/responsibility.
• Deep experience in Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit.
• Managed multiple business partners and multiple deliverables across tight deadlines.
• Experience in gaming/technology/digital organisations would be favourably viewed.
• Provided advice and thought-leadership to leaders versus a compliance only approach.
