Senior Manager, Program Management

Job Description
The Senior Manager, Program Management will be directly responsible for leading multiple teams on both hardware and software solution development efforts, working with an array of industry partners to research, develop, design and deliver ML Horizons future generation Spatial Computing solutions to address public sector challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation of long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources as well as adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed.
- Delegates tasks on the project to the individual(s) best suited to complete them, and motivates them to complete tasks on time.
- Drives teams with ambiguous “definition of done” and significant unknown risks.
- Identifies and manages potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects.
- Assists in the definition of project scope and goals.
- Exercises sound judgement and makes effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
- Serves as the main point of contact for teams, ensuring team actions remain in synergy when multiple units are assigned to the same project.
- Proactively communicates with senior leadership to keep the project aligned with their goals.
- Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
- Work hand-in-hand with external Partners to define program scope, goals and deliverables; incorporate input from cross-functional team members and communicate to senior stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and manage program risks; apply sound engineering problem-solving techniques and innovative mitigation plans to deliver excellence.
- Actively assess program health, utilize technical, managerial, and leadership skills to keep program velocity on track. Understand and exercise the escalation processes both internally and externally to ensure high quality, on-time delivery.

- Familiarity with the Magic Leap headset and software ecosystem.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Program Management role.
- Prior military experience and familiarity with Defense use cases, especially related to Infantry.
- Experience in delivering large and complex hardware and software programs, especially in a mobile product development environment.
- Minimum of 5 years Management/Supervisory experience essential
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Must be capable of leading teams of some of the most talented and accomplished developers in the world.
- Experience with computer software packages such as Office, Google Suite, and JIRA.
- Experience with cloud services and software security strongly desired.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of program and project management.
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools

Education:
- BA/BS in a Computer discipline is required
- PM and PMBOK knowledge is required
- AGILE SCRUM familiarity is heavily preferred
This position may have access to ITAR controlled technical data, or material placed under a security classification or similar restriction by the US Government. As such, this position will require a US Person as defined in the ITAR, and may require the successful completion of a background check for a US Department of Defense security clearance.
