The Senior Manager, Program Management, is an important role in the company’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and requires experience and expertise in the core skills needed for portfolio, program, and project management. This role will initially focus on managing the real estate activities of Aristocrat’s leased properties globally, but may also be assigned to work under various Directors/Sr. Directors of Program Management in the EPMO’s other verticals.
Experience must include hands-on management of people, processes, and technology, as well as capability related to the concurrent management of programs, projects, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expert skills in both the tactical and logistic aspects of project management and will be readily equipped to hands-on manage associated initiatives and projects and establish meaningful reporting to convey project metrics, including budget, scope, schedule, and risk management.What you'll do
The Senior Manager, Program Management will provide program and project management over the on-going and growing portfolio of real estate, construction, business, technology, and continuous improvement projects under the leadership of the Senior Vice President Enterprise Project Management Office and Global Real Estate. Additionally, Senior Program Managers will be adept at program and project budget management and financial planning and analysis and will rotate through the functional verticals in the EPMO to keep current on all skills required to be a multi-dimensional value-add resource to the organization. This role is expected to develop, and nurture relationships cross functionally, cross property, with organizationally aligned internal business partners, and with external agencies and partners.
Program and project management:
- Manage commercial real estate leases, design and construction, business, technology, ESG, and continuous improvement projects and other initiatives, and lead these efforts through intake, requirements gathering and through to successful completion meeting budget, scope, and schedule expectations with adherence to the company’s risk management posture to deliver quality outcomes
- Manage the critical path through on-going meetings with architects, general contractors, developers, vendors and suppliers, and related external trades as well as internal support teams and working groups
- Manage multiple working group workstreams to ensure connectivity externally and internally with related parties
- Deliver change management
- Lead projects and programs to ensure success in each of the project’s nine knowledge areas: Integration, budget, scope, schedule, quality, resources, communications, risk, and procurement
- Author project documents (e.g., charter, project plan, risk register, risk plan, communications plan, etc.), and design and lead project activities (e.g., requirements gathering, reviews, project meetings, etc.)
- Exhibit fluency in project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scaled Agile, Lean / Six Sigma, Waterfall, etc.), and flexibility in portfolio and project management tools (such as Monday.com, CA PPM, Innotas, Instantis, Jira, MS Project, Planview, etc.), and rely upon approaches that best-fit project method and tools to project requirements
- Conduct project meetings with stakeholders and project teams, and create transparency of project status, risks and constraints
- Aggressively manage risk mitigation, remediation, and contingency strategies
- Prepare, deliver, and disseminate project briefings and reports as needed and or requested
- Manage multiple and potentially dissimilar programs and projects
- Ability to successfully pivot within and/or between projects
- Lead and engage with project teams, business leaders and other executives
- Keep current on project management best practices, and obtain or maintain related licenses and certifications in good standing

What we're looking for
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, communications, project management, engineering, or related project management undergraduate course of study; an advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
- Certification (or near-term exam-ready) in one or more of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP®), Program Management Professional (PgMP®), or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP®), with Lean Six Sigma certification or experience at the Green Belt or Black Belt level
- Experience in project management tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Driver’s license for property-to-property travel
- Willing to travel on project assignments, as needed (<25%). This role can be physically challenging and requires physical strength and stamina during site visits, audits, and punch list activities that may require long hours, and the ability to successfully conduct work in confined spaces or vastly open spaces
Preferred:
- Construction project management as owner/tenant’s representative a plus
- Big Four consulting experience preferred
- Experience in an IT PMO or other PMO preferred
