Senior Manager, Program Management - Publishing Live Ops, GPS

Program Managers are delivery leaders at Riot. We lead teams to achieve player value through work systems and practices. While driving internal agreement for teams and development organizations, we focus on continuous improvement and offer leadership and mentoring to help others to level-up their craft Riot-wide.
As the Senior Manager, Program Management for Global Player Support, you will work closely with the Head of Player Support to improve on programs that not only span our multiple teams (Studio Support, Platform, Operations) but also connect with game and publishing teams at Riot. You will be an important member of the leadership team to help ensure our efforts, projects, and planning are aligned with the strategic vision and needs of our customers around Riot.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the operational strategy of the team - Operational review, Issue Management, Team Roadmaps, PS org communication strategy etc.
- Develop the work systems used throughout the team, including how teams report status back to the business unit, and how multi-team work is coordinated.
- Ensure clear accountability, timelines, and change management to achieve timely, high-quality results.
- Align autonomous teams towards complex multi-year goals while meeting the operational needs of customers.
- Investigate and qualify metrics/analytics to make informed decisions and determine team success.
- Create high-level program workflows, communicating and analyzing trade-offs, and eliminating impediments at the team of team level.
- Report on program performance, ensuring each program achieves value against its objective.
- Ensure stakeholders and customers are always up-to-date on commitments made and how the delivery is going.
- Create/Maintain forecasting tools across teams that allow predictability with program deliverables.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and cross-organization events in collaboration with other functional leaders in GPS.
- Be the expert in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, guiding teams to an approach that yields the best results.
- Mentor direct reports, allowing them to grow in their environments.
Required Qualifications:
- 7-12+ years of experience managing and delivering large-scale programs.
- Developed and executed processes for software products through the entire life cycle.
- Knowledge and experience using a deep toolkit of development methodologies, and experience in adapting to new situations.
- Experience in the development, design, operation, and improvement of systems appropriate to the outputs of the business unit and development effectiveness.
- Experience growing teams and direct reports to achieve organizational goals.
- Overseeing overall team health; it's tracked and improving.
- Certified in Scaled Agile or working knowledge of Scaled Agile frameworks.
Desired Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building and deploying infrastructure solutions on a global scale.
