Senior Manager, Partnership and Business Development, Esport Europe and MENA

Role:

We are looking for a Head of Partnership and Business Development Esports to develop and drive new opportunities and support our partnering efforts across Riot's European and MENA Esport business.

You will be a part of the Berlin-based Leadership team and will report to and work closely with the Director of Esports Europe and MENA, and work with a broad range of Riot functions and leaders across the globe. You will be experienced in sourcing, negotiating, structuring and executing commercial approaches and contracts within Sports, Esports and other related industries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a multifaceted and diverse BD team
• Lead the relationship with our main sales agency to drive the acquisition of new partners
• Identify and evaluate appropriate partnering opportunities for Riot's Esports business, conduct due diligence, and make recommendations (including strategic rationale, valuation, and risks) in coordination with local and international esports, publishing, creative and community teams
• Monitor and report on deal KPIs
• Work with Tournament organizers, Broadcast partners and Esport teams to drive the growth of Riot's Esports
• Provide clear reporting to Riot and external stakeholders to the success of our partner programs feeding insights back into the team to level up the next deal

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of business development experience with an established experience in successfully structuring, negotiating and closing deals with industry partners
• 3+ years of experience in the Sport, Esports, Gaming or Entertainment industry in Business Development or strategy consulting
• Experienced in networking with contacts across agencies and major consumer brands at a senior level within Europe and globally, and extensive knowledge of building marketing collaborations
• Experienced in entering negotiations fully informed about internal considerations, knowing how to navigate the situation to best settle differences and, ideally, win concessions
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
