Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Mobile Growth Strategy, to join our mobile user acquisition team in Irvine, CA, and help lead global user acquisition and retargeting strategy. You will be instrumental in driving growth and engagement for a Blizzard mobile game(s), focused on planning UA campaigns and setting the strategic roadmap + learning agenda for your game(s) to connect with new and lapsed users effectively and efficiently.
A typical day may include meetings with finance to plan upcoming budgets, joint projects with Product Marketing to optimize the onboarding funnel, pitching new creative needs to Brand Marketing, partnering with the Activation team on test design, or planning the UA strategy for the next quarter. This is a critical role for the company, with much growth potential and the opportunity to directly shape mobile UA at Blizzard.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive user acquisition strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Collaborating across teams to create a framework for the Activation (Performance Marketing buying team) to operate against – including elements such as market priority, audiences, messaging, flighting/budget allocations, channel direction, UA vs re-engagement split, and KPIs
- Partner with buying team to ensure channel mix and media plan align with strategic framework
- Analyze market trends and performance to adapt strategies to increase opportunities
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Use analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and user engagement
- Leverage data to make informed decisions and refine marketing approaches
- Provide regular reports on campaign performance, insights, and takeaways to senior management and partners
Campaign Management:
- Work with Activation and Analytics teams to optimize campaign performance on an ongoing basis to ensure maximum return on investment
- Oversee the user acquisition budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across various campaigns and platforms
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Represent UA in cross-functional meetings, speaking to topics such as quarterly strategy, performance updates, or pitching new ideas
- Champion a collaborative environment and strong working relationships with activation and partner teams
- Work closely with other departments, including product management, brand marketing, product marketing, finance, and analytics, to ensure a cohesive approach to user growth
Key Attributes
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- At least 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on user acquisition in the mobile gaming or related digital entertainment industry
- Track record of optimally running and scaling user acquisition campaigns with positive results
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics, and user behavior
- Experience with mobile measurement partners like AppsFlyer and working inside ad platforms like Meta Ads, Tiktok, and Google Ads
- Understanding of SKAN 4.0 measurement frameworks and guidelines
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent leadership and communication skills

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
