Senior Manager, International Integrated Communications (SPORTS)

We’re looking for an experienced communications leader to drive proactive and reactive communications strategies for the EA SPORTS portfolio outside of the Americas. Reporting to the Director of International Integrated Communications, you will lead all international communication plans for the EA SPORTS portfolio in close co-ordination with North American based colleagues.
Passionate about telling compelling stories that resonate across multiple languages and markets, you will help shape and define the voice of the EA SPORTS brand, its portfolio of games, its studios and their connection with the overall EA brand across international territories.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Global Communications and EA SPORTS Brand teams, along with International agencies across the organization to lead multifaceted plans and creative communications strategies for the EA SPORTS brand, ensuring they resonate across the International region.
- Work with the International Integrated Communications Director to lead the International SPORTS Communications team across the organisation to execute a robust Integrated Communications strategy for EA SPORTS across International markets.
- Work with the International SPORTS Creator/Social team to ensure delivery of Integrated earned strategies
- Line-management of one to two direct reports
- Partner with Global Communication leads to communicate how the roll-out of strategy, communication creative and activations can be most effective across International markets.
- Partner with International studio leads to help develop communication strategies that elevate individual products, the studio, and EA.
- Provide strategic counsel for key senior executives and other relevant c-suite members around key issues impacting the franchise.
- In collaboration with the International Integrated Communications Director , coordinate with key internal stakeholders to ensure the use of tools, creation of partnerships, allocation of spend and event attendance dovetail into and maximize the execution of our editorial plans.
- Work seamlessly with a worldwide team, ensuring industry-leading global coverage is secured across all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Ensure the powerful messages and storylines we deliver through PR and owned channels meet the business and communication needs of International markets.
- Work with relevant teams from across the business to deal with crisis communications issues in a timely manner.
- In collaboration with Global Communications and Brand leads, increase awareness and brand recognition across International markets through various PR and media strategies.
- Regular reporting to Global Corporate Communications and Brand Marketing leadership on International updates and proactive communications initiatives.
- Develop key messages, and draft press materials and other communications for International markets when required.
- Ensure the execution of global product campaign are in line with local corporate communication needs and sensitivities.
Experience and Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in communications, strategic media relations or public relations in multiple International territories.
- Demonstrable experience of leading International Communications campaigns within a global organization covering PR, Events, Social and Influencer
- Line management experience
- Expert skills in communications, media relations and message development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while working across time zones.
- Proven ability to think ahead, problem solve, engage proactively and take initiative.
- Strong process-minded planner who can determine deadlines, logistics and operational plans for multi-dimensional programs and events across the region.
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse range of senior partners.
- Must be passionate about communications and media relations with finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends and can deliver measurable results.
- Excellent persuasive writing, editing and verbal communications skills, including presentation skills.
- Must be a strategic thinker with experience in conceiving and leveraging relationships.
- Demonstrated strength in building, managing, and motivating high-performance teams and agency networks.
- Existing International media relations network.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field is preferred.
- Multiple European language speaker a preference.
