Who We’re Looking For
The Senior Manager will be instrumental in defining growth strategies and analyzing opportunities for new and existing game franchises
The ideal candidate will have validated credentials in defining strategies and driving growth of a consumer product or service across multiple territories. They will combine meticulous market and performance analysis alongside formulation of creative short-to-long-term strategies, and an aim to see them carried out. Experience in gaming is not expected, however the candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, consumer-focused technology company.
Candidates must be forward-thinking, passionate, and hands-on – willing to dive into details and get things done, while not losing sight of the bigger picture. They will be comfortable working with a range of junior to senior collaborators.
What You Will Do
Define locally relevant growth strategies
- Identify, define and drive innovative commercial strategies that will drive growth of our existing and new franchise across our various global territories, through locally relevant new business models, pricing strategies, partnerships, content and events
- Independently build business cases to analyze new strategic ideas, through meticulous analysis of internal data and market benchmarks
- Clearly present findings to a wide range of collaborators, including senior leadership
- Collaborate with various functional teams to turn ideas in reality and drive execution
Strategic planning
- Create detailed forecasts for new and existing franchises which can be used for planning purposes by product development, marketing, sales and finance partners, as well as senior leadership
What Skills Are Needed
- 5-10 years relevant work experience, including 2+ years within a strategy, commercial or business development role in a fast-moving digital business (e.g. video games, e-commerce, subscription businesses, or other consumer internet)
- Other relevant prior experience could be in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or in-house strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study (e.g. business, economics, (computer) science, mathematics)
- Ability to independently build business cases / financial models in Excel from scratch
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of clearly communicating findings
- Integrity in working with others across various levels and personality types, and ability to successfully navigate a global organization
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus, otherwise a willingness to learn this
- Experience working in the video games industry is not required, but familiarity with gaming is a plus
