Scopely is looking for a Senior Manager, Community Development to join our Strategic Marketing team and contribute to an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game, based in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US & Canada.

The Marketing team deeply understands a game’s audience, creative strategy and priorities. They are the glue between the Brand, Product, and our Player Communities that will redefine our social strategy to amplify our games across new and existing social channels while building a meaningful community for our players.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Community, you'll collaborate closely with our Development, Publishing, and Marketing teams, while being deeply embedded within the game’s development and service. Your role will be crucial in fostering a thriving and engaged community that is passionate about our games.
- Help architect and deploy a detailed community strategy that aligns with our game's unique vision and mechanics.
- Create effective tactics to strengthen connections between fans and the game, integrating seamless feedback to our development team.
- Coordinate playtesting communication and engagement plans to inspire our early community.
- Act as a liaison between the player base and development team, translating feedback into actionable priorities.
- Actively participate in community discussions across Discord, Reddit, and social platforms, guiding conversations about our game.
- Establish and manage a dedicated playtest community to assist in refining the game through various development stages.
- Organize developer workshops, player councils, and developer AMAs to provide insights into the creative process.
- Manage live service components, such as in-game events, updates, and content driven by community driven content.
- Work with Producers to ensure smooth execution and ongoing improvement of live service roadmaps and updates.
- Handle crisis communication effectively, managing community expectations during updates or unexpected issues.
- Plan and organize captivating community events, ranging from studio tours to influencer tournaments.
- Prepare insightful, data-driven reports on community sentiment to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with integrated publishing teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- Find ways to incorporate development voices into the community.
- Monitor and report on important metrics that measure community engagement, customer retention, and return on investment.
What will you need:
- 8-10 years of proven experience in community management, with a record of launching multiple AAA live service games.
- Exceptional track record of closely partnering with development teams and working with studio leadership.
- Proficiency in managing various social media platforms (including Discord, Reddit, X, TikTok) and advanced proficiency with cutting-edge sentiment analysis tools.
- Outstanding writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with a global audience
- Deep-rooted passion for gaming, with a keen eye for emerging trends and player behaviors.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
- Strong strategic skills and a global perspective, capable of prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
- Thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of AAA game development.
- Fluent in English; multilingual capabilities are a significant plus.
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $118,200 - $174,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
