Your Mission
The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for the general accounting and financial reporting management of the company’s North America and Corporate ledgers. This critical position has oversight responsibility for all aspects of GL accounting and related sub-processes. The ideal candidate will develop, document and enforce accurate accounting methods, procedures, and policies. In addition, the ideal candidate will carry out consistent and efficient month-end and quarter-end close processes that ensures the timely processing of accurate monthly results.
The position requires having the ability to independently foresee and prepare for any upstream and downstream impacts associated with new transactions and initiatives. It also requires being able to identify and resolve accounting issues and process inefficiencies. The ideal candidate will be helping with various projects and must have the competence to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business to coordinate and manage the timely completion of the assigned project-related tasks.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reporting
- Participate in our global month-end close and consolidation process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations and preparation and/or review of financial reporting results and flux analyses.
- Ensure execution of appropriate accounting treatment on accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP.
- Possess a deep understanding of ERP systems and related sub-modules, including the development, implementation and/or maintenance of accounting systems and associated enhancements.
- Understand business activities and objectives and make recommendations and changes to improve and support scalability in the team organization, business systems and processes.
- Work effectively in a high growth environment - comfortable in both individual contributor roles and cross-functional team management roles, depending on what is required by the business at the time.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation and regularly interact with business owners and senior level management on accounting matters.
- Develop and mentor accounting analysts to build their professional career and maximize potential
- Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain a strong internal control environment and regularly supervise and assess risks associated with our current and new processes.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives

Player Profile
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting
- Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in professional accounting
- Experience with cash, prepaid, fixed assets, accruals and GL accounting, etc.
- Proven experience in optimizing accounting processes
- Must possess strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve.
- Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partners
- Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling daily responsibilities, projects and results
- Must possess strong work ethic and willing to work extra hours and weekends during quarter-end and year-end closes in order to meet targets
- Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite, OBIEE Answers and/or Hyperion Essbase is a plus
