What We Need
We are looking for a Senior Live Services Manager to join the 2K Growth team. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding the Live Service player engagement strategy, planning, execution, and optimization across multiple AAA franchises. This includes Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Sid Meier’s Civilization, BioShock, new IPs, and more. You will work in close partnership with studios & publishing teams to build the player engagement, monetization, and post-launch live services plans. Our goal is to ensure 2K has engaging experiences long-term, positive player sentiment, and financial success.
What You Will Do
- Tactical Planning & Execution - Collaborate with studios, Product Development (PD), Brand, and Analytics to build player-centric live service vision, strategy, and plans. This could include: In-game stores & content (volume, nature, mix, release cadence, pricing, etc.) Post-launch Progression Systems (Seasons, Objectives, Challenges, etc.)
- Performance Management – Partner with Analytics to identify critical metrics, establish telemetry requirements, and BI needed to develop performance reporting that enables data-driven insights
- Market Intelligence & Insights – Provide strategic thought-leadership on live services industry trends, as well as internal & external standard methodologies for driving engagement, retention, and monetization
- Campaign Management – Collaborate with Performance Marketing teams on audience sizing, prioritization, content, and messaging for targeted retention & acquisition campaigns
- Player Advocate – Understand and advocate for the player’s perspective throughout the strategy and post-launch processes to ensure the development of fair and balanced monetization models that empower customer choice and value for time
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
The ideal candidate is passionate about building & optimizing great player experiences with data-driven insights and ideas. They seek to understand the ‘Why’ and the ‘So What’ of player behaviors.
- Strong project management skills with 5+ years of experience in product management, product development, management consulting, corporate strategy, or another equivalent
- Working understanding of live services mechanics and strategies across AAA genres and franchises in the market today (both premium and free-to-play)
Bonus Points
- Experience with Tableau (SQL double plus)
- Understanding of user segmentation, targeting, and A/B testing
- Experience shipping AAA or Free-to-Play games with live services content
