Senior Lighting Artist

PUBG Corporation seeks a veteran lighting artist to create scenes, skies, and global lighting of exceptional quality at our Madison, WI office. We are a small, multi-disciplinary team creating map and game content for PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, including our latest mini-royale offering “Sanhok”.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Art Director and Lead Artists to define the visual direction of our maps and their various weather and lighting scenarios.
- Own and implement interior and exterior lighting using Unreal Engine 4
- Debug technical issues and solve performance problems
- Work directly with graphics engineers to improve lighting and the PUBG Experience
- Work with all artists to educate them about PBR content creation and verify that our content is PBR compliant
Desired Skills:
- Five (5) or more years of lighting experience in games or a related industry
- One or more shipped titles in the AAA PC/Console space
- Strong spoken and written communication skills -- Korean language skills a major plus
- Deep understanding of PBR shading and lighting pipelines and post-processing effects
- Knowledge and study of color theory and traditional art, film, and cinematography
- Working knowledge of industry standard offline rendering software (Vray, Arnold)
- Knowledge of HDR photography and general understanding of camera and lens functionality
- Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
- Experience capturing game assets with photogrammetry
- Open-world development experience a plus
