Senior Level Designer - Berlin

As a Senior level designer, you will work closely with our Level artists to create level blockouts and work closely with the gameplay team to build your vision for levels that would take place in our worlds.

You would also be working closely with the gameplay team, crafting levels that take advantage of the game mechanics, enemies, weapons and designing any level specific setpieces with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Create levels from concept to release, including blocking out level geometry
  • Liaise with artists, animators, and programmers to create compelling content
  • Liaise with lead designer on level direction and content needs
  • Take part in planning Milestones and sprints

Requirements

  • Game design degree, Architecture degree and/or relevant experience is taken into account
  • 4+ years of experience working in a gaming studio
  • Online portfolio with examples of your work. If something is playable this would be a bonus
  • Expertise in Level creation
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience of Unreal, Unity, or similar game engine
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work based on changing schedules and feedback/critiques with a detail-obsessed eye for quality
  • Excellent communication, technical and problem solving skills
  • Highly organised with proven ability to deliver on deadlines

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Experience in creating Level for mobile devices
  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Blueprint system
  • Playcentric design understanding
