Senior Level Designer

Job Description

Ubisoft Saguenay content team is looking for a senior multiplayer level designer to come share their experience and participate to the creation of an amazing project. In collaboration with San Francisco studio, our team is working on XDefiant™, a first-person shooter game that mixes fast action and factions with skills.

As a senior level designer, you will have the opportunity to create the next levels on the XDefiant™ project, to participate in prototyping of different elements on the project and to work with our home editor Snowdrop™ (The Division 2™, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle™).

What you'll do

• Create unique environment where the flow and composition form an memorable experience that are aligned with the XDefiant™ project vision
• Collaborate with artists to imagine and improve levels
• Collaborate with other designer to define and refine different levels of the game
• Document and present your work, including the prototyping to the different teams and directors
• Support the LD director, participate to the mentoring and to the evolution of the LD team members.

Qualifications

What you bring

• 5 years or more of experience in conception and production of Level design in video games
• To be experienced with modern game editors and with the level creation process
• To master the level design principles (cadences, risks and rewards, difficulties, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of the industry, particularly of multiplayer games PVP
• Experience in scripting (visual or written)
• To be able to give constructive feedbacks that are detailed and to be able to receive them.
