Senior Legal Counsel

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing team.

The Senior Legal Counsel reports directly to the General Counsel and serves as an in-house attorney handling the company’s legal needs and matters. You will assist in the management of the company’s day-to-day legal and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a global company with commercial work, marketing agreements, data privacy, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements.
• Advise on liabilities, legal restrictions and risks associated with agreements and various other projects throughout the organization.
• Work closely with the Business and Finance teams on significant cross-company projects.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel to various departments within the company.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial law experience as an in-house Legal Counsel, preferably in a tech company
• Experience working in a large, global organization.
• English - Native
• Excellent writing, drafting, negotiating, presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in the areas of commercial law and contracts, employment, data protection and privacy, corporate and M&A.
• Strong contract drafting skills, with deep legal and commercial understanding and analytical capabilities.
• Experience working with global Product and Marketing teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships across the organization.
• Ability to negotiate with external third parties on behalf of internal stakeholders to efficiently close transactions.
• Strong project and time management skills, and ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines.
• A law degree from an accredited institution.
