Senior Infrastructure Engineer

CCP is looking for an experienced and talented Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to the continued evolution of our critically acclaimed science-fiction game EVE Online!

You would focus on creating more automatic processes around the maintenance and upgrades of EVE. This position requires an individual who can mentor other team members in the best practices of infrastructure as code, and has the ability to compile poorly defined requirements into working solutions.

Your tasks:

• Become a force multiplier for EVE Development as we introduce new technologies
• Keep working towards practical problem solving where we prefer using industry-standard tools instead building out our own
• Make sure EVE Online runs as smoothly as possible
• Mentor other team members in the best practices of IAC
• Mentor development teams in the usage of workload orchestration tools (Kubernetes / Nomad)

Your Profile:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience in working in both Windows and POSIX environments
• Experience managing and using orchestration tools (Especially Kubernetes and Nomad)
• Allergy to systems without IaC (Long live Terraform)
• Allergy to treating servers like pets
• Experience using AWS
• Experience running with a medium to large project end-to-end with minimal hand-holding.

Bonus Point:

• Experience managing RabbitMq
