Turtle Rock Studios is looking for an IT Network Engineer to join our team. This role will play an integral part in the studio's growth and will help plan and build out the current and future network solutions in the studio. This person will be able to effectively work and communicate within the team to gain consensus and should be able to prioritize based on the studio's ability to build better games faster and more efficiently. This role is required to be onsite.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and oversee the networks that support studio and data center operations
- Execute IT projects while displaying a consistent collaborative approach in the design/delivery/product planning through to deployment
- Configure, deploy, support, and troubleshoot Network solutions and services for, but not limited to:
- Redhat Linux Servers
- Windows Server
- Containers / Storage (NetApp, Pure...etc)
- Hypervisor VMWare ESXi and vSphere
- Cloud solutions (ie, AWS, Azure, Google)
- Participate in on-call rotational third level mission critical support
- Develop Network Diagrams and training materials for new and existing environments
- Engineer, implement and support complex LAN/WAN/Internet datacenter and cloud network environments
- Structure perimeter controls and VLAN structures to increase security stance
- Build IPsec based VPN Solutions
- Configure and manage support for Fortinet Firewall controls with intrusion logging and monitoring solutions.
- Troubleshoot, research, and analyze significant complex network problems that can require evaluation of intangibles
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with back-end infrastructure & networking technologies
- Advanced knowledge of security and auditing procedures and compliance (Network Perimeter)
- Experience setting up and configuring Firewall solutions (FortiGate, Palo Alto, or SonicWall etc.)
- Related Juniper JNCP or Cisco Certifications required, active CCNP or equivalent knowledge
- Experience with Layer 2 switching technologies - STP, port-channels, layer 2 loop prevention, switching/wireless setup, configuration and management (Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, etc.)
- Experience configuring EIGRP, OSPF and BGP on either Cisco and Juniper network devices in a large and complex network environment
- Experience with Datacenter Switching (Cisco Nexus or Juniper EX Series)
- Experience managing Datacenter operations
Preferences
- Prior experience working in a games studio is desired
- Aptitude for documenting current and future state IT systems, architectures, and nomenclature
- Experience with MPLS is highly preferred
- Experience working with open-source technologies as needed

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $115,000 - $155,000 USD
