Senior IT Administrator - Brighton, UK

Electric Square is looking for an Experienced Senior IT Administrator to join our team fulltime to assist with organic growth. You would need to be within a commutable distance to our Central Brighton based studios.

An Senior IT Administrator at Electric Square:

• Will support the Lead IT Manager to ensure all IT duties are prioritised and carried out on time.
• Ensures the accessibility, protection, and overall health of the IT environments, infrastructure, and systems.
• Maintains healthy and productive relationships with all game development projects within Electric Square.
• Addresses incoming incidents and service requests (remote connection issues, passwords, software issues, purchasing requests, hardware issues) Mainly to internal employees over 5 sites, but some parts extend to external clients
• Manages joiners/leavers, project moves, PC rebuilds, AD admin, licence/software and hardware re-allocations.
• Is responsible for server upkeep – backups, patching, health checks (about 20+ servers)
• Provides studio project support – proxy server setups, new servers, networking builds and assistance, or ramp downs with archiving and de-comms.
• Further matures the IT infrastructure through small improvement tasks/automation projects.
• Is primarily based on-site.

Requirements

• Windows Servers, Networking, File sharing, and Domain rights management
• Linux server administration.
• VMware / VSphere.
• Office 365.
• General Networking: Firewalls / DNS / DHCP / Routing / ICMP, UDP, TCP protocols.
• Windows, macOS, and iOS client platforms.
• VPN.
• Software licencing.
• Security (Multi-Factor systems, Auth apps, Bitlocker, FileVault, Pw management, recovery, etc.)
• Be willing to range from climbing under desks for port patching or fixing printers – to Server/Network/Backup/Security/Infrastructure layout discussions.
• 5+ years IT experience, ideally within the game industry sector.

Advantageous Skills You Might Have:

• Ubuiqiti, pFsense, and Smoothwall experience.
• Perforce server config.
• Own travel / Car for transporting gear from on-site to off-site, or collecting equipment.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence).
• Veeam Backup Enterprise.
• QNAP systems.
• College/University Education within an IT focus.
