Job Description
As a Talent Business Partner, you'll provide strategic advisory and guidance to senior leaders that set our Sydney team up for success.
Reporting to the Talent Business Partner Director, you’ll be the connecting link and conduit between the Talent department and senior leaders. With your deep understanding of HR and the realities of the business, you’ll help align talent strategies with key objectives of the business.
What you’ll do:
Strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with the Talent Business Partner Director and business leaders to understand organizational priorities and business objectives and connect the implementation of strategic HR initiatives to encourage the achievement of those goals.
Leadership engagement and guidance
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, fostering a culture of open communication and ensuring a fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Monitor the well-being and engagement of senior leaders and their core teams, using an evidence-based and data informed approach as well as employee insights to guide decision-making and increase team cohesion and efficiency.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with business leaders and offer guidance on complex HR matters.
- Work closely with other HR stakeholders to ensure short term and/or operational needs are in alignment with the desired strategic HR vision.
Talent management
Change management
- Consult and provide input into organizational change initiatives, including organizational design, culture transformation, and employee engagement efforts to drive a culture of accountability and empowerment.
Qualifications
- A deep understanding of all HR functions, employment legislation, and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to lead, coach, and support various levels of the business
- Proficiency in comprehending the organization's business model and industry trends for aligning talent strategies
- Competence in developing long-term plans and HR initiatives that contribute to achieving organizational goals
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to positively influence and guide stakeholders towards HR-related solutions and decisions
- Ability to identify HR challenges and propose creative and effective solutions
- High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters
