About this role
As the Senior HR Advisor you will be working with our people and line managers to provide expertise, advice and management information across a full range of generalist HR activities, whilst delivering against key initiatives to support the achievement of the HR strategy.
In this role you will
- Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy
- Support managers in ER casework, such as probation, performance management, appraisals, absence management, TUPE, grievance, remuneration and attending hearings.
- Coach and develop managers on company policy and best fit HR solutions.
- Act as a mentor to more junior members of the HR team. Contribute to the ongoing development of the wider team, sharing knowledge, learning and expertise.
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement throughout the business, assisting in policy, procedure, letters and management templates, ensuring they are fit for purpose and legally compliant.
- Conduct MI analysis on absence, leavers, starters, disciplinary and capability matters as well as other MI on an adhoc basis.
- Identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation and work with the HRM and members of the wider team to implement any agreed changes
To be successful you will have
- Widespread HR advisory experience across a broad range of HR activities including, but not limited to: disciplinary, grievance, change management, absence and performance management within a fast paced and complex business.
- Ability to quickly build relationships and gain credibility with key stakeholders.
- CIPD Level 5 minimum is desirable, but we will consider applicants with relevant experience.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks to ensure SLA's, deadlines and business milestones are achieved.
- Thorough understanding of HR processes, procedures and employment law.
- Ability to promote and uphold HR initiatives and values, including discretion and confidentiality.
- Competency in interpreting and providing advice on employment legislation and conditions of service to ensure compliance and best fir advice.
