Senior Graphics Programmer / Developer

Nequinox Studios are looking for a Senior Graphics Programmer to work on AAA titles alongside some of the gaming industry's most established names.

Our new Senior Graphics Programmer will join a fast-growing, dynamic games studio to work on cutting-edge technology and exciting new games for PS4 & PS5, XboxOne, Switch and PC. Working closely with the Lead, you will take ownership of rendering and frame rate, visual aesthetic, smoothing out glitches and errors on the graphics pipeline, work with the wider team on planning and delivery, and share a passion for games. Although we pride ourselves on our technical excellence, we are a creative bunch, actively generating ideas and bringing our collective skills, experiences and storytelling to our innovative, creative process.

You will have your finger on the pulse and be able to keep up with advancements in game graphics and be able to share that with your team. As a Senior Graphics Programmer, you will have a Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or a related Technical Degree, have significant experience making video games and be confident with the following:

  • UE4 Rendering and Graphics Expertise
  • C++ experience (5+ years)
  • Experience in real-time game content pipeline and tools
  • Rendering & shader algorithms, linear algebra, trigonometry & calculus
  • Debug profile and analyse profiling data and perform GPU optimisation
  • Writing vertex, pixel, and compute shaders using HLSL or equivalent
  • DirectX 12 experience (bindless textures)
  • Experience with HDR, PBR, and both forward+ & deferred rendering
  • Multi-threading debugging and optimisation

Have experience with at least one of:

  • OpenGL, Dx11, Dx12, Vulkan, Shadertoy

As an advantage:

  • DirectX Raytracing
  • Familiar with node-based material graphs
  • Experience developing for a wide range of PC hardware and console platforms
  • Console experience
  • Porting experience

Salary - Negotiable, dependent on experience.

Full remote working is available during COVID, with a blend of working from home and in-studio expected post-COVID.
