The geometry kernel team is responsible for delivering the core functionalities of our real-time geometry engine. As a Senior Geometry Software Engineer, you will be in charge of developing innovative algorithms for features such as real-time geometry creation and editing, or mesh processing pipeline. You will cover the software development process from planning to release.
You will:
- Work in a small autonomous team, driving an essential part of the ROBLOX Experience
- Oversee new feature development from research and prototyping to maintenance
- Improve the robustness and performance of existing components
- Be an ambassador for ROBLOX to the industry and the community
You have:
- Bachelor's, MSc or Ph.D. in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field with emphasis on computational geometry
- Hands-on experience in writing, testing, maintaining efficient C/C++ code
- Working knowledge of advanced data structures and algorithms design
- Extensive knowledge of linear algebra concepts (vector and matrix math, numerical solvers) and 3D computational geometry
- 3+ years of experience with optimization techniques in 3D game engines or real-time graphics/geometry application design
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$189,110 — $233,840 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
