PLAYSTUDIOS is enthusiastically seeking a Senior Gaming Business Intelligence Analyst to join the myKONAMI Slots team in Austin. Does the idea of analyzing millions of records, forming insights, and guiding strategic direction for an entire app interest you? Are you a data ninja that can flawlessly write queries, aggregate data to any granularity, and go any length for a game hanging analysis?

If so, look no further. In this role, you will be building complex data sets, automating processes, overseeing A/B testing, and answering big picture questions through ad hoc analysis. You will be a leading voice among product managers, data engineers, and live ops managers to optimize the product. The data, insights, and conclusions you provide will be at the intersection of all strategic decision making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead and mentor to other BI Analysts on the team
• Work alongside the Product Director on monitoring the health of the app and areas of opportunity
• Help drive the strategic direction and implementation of the data and architecture and data warehouse
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data accuracy and completeness of the data - be the data quality champion for myKONAMI
• Take pride in the quality of your work output. Your code, analyses, and documentation all reflect that of someone who is extremely detail-oriented
• Own the outcome and success of performance. Partner closely with teams responsible for revenue, product designers, and other teams across the studio to identify and prioritize the most impactful business problems through data-driven intelligence
• Translate problems into structured analyses or data products that directly drive actionable insights that maximize value
• Reporting and analysis
• Update weekly and bi-weekly presentations with performance metrics and recommendations with Product Managers
• Create presentations for and present to internal and external teams as well as executives
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed
• Manage all AB tests Instrument in-game actions by working in tandem with Engineering and Data Platform teams, enabling us to track, measure, and evaluate the performance of new features and game content

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines
• 5+ years of work experience analyzing large datasets in analytics or product-centric role
• 2+ years managing others
• Advanced Excel, SQL, and Tableau
• Strong data visualization skills
• Prior experience presenting to executives
• Advanced Excel and SQL skills
• Knowledge of data management, and working in both structured and unstructured data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating product and business needs into technical specifications
• Strong presentation skills (google slides, ppt) and experience representing internally, externally, and top executives
• Ability to work with global cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to go with your technical expertise. It’s second nature for you to tell coherent and compelling narratives around complicated quantitative concepts that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders
• A team player that is results-focused and an intellectually curious self-starter. You bring a "can-do" attitude and are looking to own initiatives end-to-end in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Familiar with and passionate about analyzing user behavior on consumer mobile applications

Preferred

• Deep understanding of mobile free-to-play games
• Master’s degree in business, economics, statistics, analytics, or another related degree
• Ability to build rich and complex data sets for analysis or tool building
