Our Incubation Team focuses on prototyping new ideas, new game concepts, new franchises, and the incubation of new studios with the ambitious vision to create genre defining games for the next generation of players. This is one of those unique opportunities that only happen once in a lifetime.
The Role
Our team is a close-knit group of seasoned developers with a diverse array of backgrounds currently focused on the early stages of an ambitious new game idea for the next generation of players. We are seeking a Mid or Senior Gameplay UI Engineer to join as a pioneering member, bringing their creative ideas and problem-solving skills to help us shape the core of our game's UI direction, systems and development process. This is a unique opportunity where you will help define a new game’s direction with forward-thinking, impactful technical decisions.
Who You Are:
- Possesses strong sensibilities for UI/UX systems and design, with a passion for building user-friendly interfaces
- Enjoys working with designers, artists and other engineers to hone and refine ideas, realizing them into robust implementations
- Devises simple, novel technical solutions for challenging problems, and understands the value of not reinventing the wheel
- Seeks to learn from their mistakes and lessons from others
What You Will Do:
- Work with a small team to help establish groundwork for how UI content will be authored
- Be a champion for good UI engineering design and practices
- Design and build technical foundations through all stages of development
- Manage the planning, estimation and execution requested and self-directed tasks
- Provide ideas and feedback on our technical and cultural development processes
Qualifications:
- Experience in game programming (preferably C++)
- Demonstrated experience working in AAA game engines and game UI systems
- Experience working with a team of diverse disciplines
- Enjoys collaborating with designers/artists to create world-class UI
- Strong literary and oral communications skills
Bonus Points:
- Good understanding of MVVM paradigms
- Experience with WPF/XAML UI systems
- Experience working with Unreal 4 / Unreal 5 UMG and Slate
- Experience shipping a live game
