Scopely is looking for a Senior Game Tech Engineer to join our Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks team in our Culver City or Mexico City studio hubs, or remotely within the US or Canada!

What You Will Do
You will be working on the TriPeaks Tech Team, reporting directly to the engineering director. Tech Team engineers have high levels of autonomy to pursue and ensure technical quality in the app. The Tech Team also collaborates closely with the game and product teams to perform critical technical tasks. Additional responsibilities include:
- Leading by example with technical excellence, balancing pragmatic and ideal engineering practices
- Keeping the app up to date with important SDK upgrades and external platform requirements
- Planning and Implementing strategic improvements to core game systems
- Working closely with other engineers to investigate and fix critical production issues
- Performing in-depth investigations on app performance and stability and identifying actions for improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years professional experience as a developer on mobile games or applications
- Strong, proven skills with Unity and C#
- Experience integrating, upgrading, and troubleshooting 3rd party SDKs, packages, and plugins in Unity (including dependency management and build issue resolution
- Proactive, service-oriented mindset toward teammates and users
- High comfort level extending a complex code base with appropriate risk mitigation
- Strong English language skills with excellent ability to clearly articulate and communicate technical issues both verbally and in writing
- Gumption to work on the most challenging technical issues that face a live production game!

- Unity build pipeline/tools for mobile apps:
- Android: Android Studio, AGP, Gradle
- iOS: XCode, Signing/Provisioning Profiles, CocoaPods
- Unity systems for mobile development and optimization:
- Memory and performance analysis
- Native plugins and/or interactions between Unity and Android/iOS
- Asset bundle management and loading times
- Build automation for Unity using Jenkins and Gradle
- Client-server architectures
- SQL and database queries
- Unit testing and related frameworks
