Leveraging this following, Alpaca raised $6.3 million from a user-driven NFT sale to fund the development of their first game, which this role of Senior Game Producer will be an integral part of.

Your Impact

• Help build, lead, and inspire a high-functioning team of game designers and lateral team members, fostering positive relationships with internal and external shared component teams and company stakeholders
• Motivate and maintain creativity and cohesion within the team, building an environment that nurtures frequent, open and honest communication, constructive feedback, positive working relationships and supportive teamwork
• Set milestones and schedules in coordination with team leads and management
• Ensure that each member of the team is working from a tracked schedule and has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution
• Create and implement daily team processes to make sure the long-term plan is on track
• Provide production expertise and drive adoption of proven methodologies to standardize game development processes and pipelines, including planning, reviews, and approvals
• Manage timelines and the project budget, identify resource requirements and expectations, regularly update projections, and track and report results
• Manage change, ensure project scope is adhered to, control feature creep, and make sure project is delivered in accordance with expectations
• Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and design goals. Continuously assess risk and keep the scope of the project in line with budget and schedule
• Manage day to day communications of matters regarding schedule, budget, change and risk with relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance personnel for product testing cycles, including usability testing
• Grow your knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and competitors within the spaces of play-to-earn blockchain gaming, NFTs, metaverse, and web 3.0
• Contribute to discussions with senior management on roadmap, processes and larger life-cycle strategy

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in game development, having shipped and participated in the complete development cycles of at least 2 games in a producer-level role
• Works well within and able to foster an open, highly collaborative and supportive environment
• Experience hiring and managing high functioning, quality-driven teams
• Experience managing remote-first teams
• Deep knowledge of game development: team dynamics, common development hurdles, game engines, development milestones, risk assessment, etc
• Self-motivated; entrepreneurial mindset with a firm sense of ownership, with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and determination to get things done
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask across disciplines, assess risk, define priorities, and resolve problems while meeting deadlines
• Experience leading teams through feature development: planning, execution, delivery, and post-release support
• Strong working knowledge of at least one bug tracking software solution, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and common technology tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and scheduling skills
• Organized, proactive and resourceful

Pluses

• Experience working on a CCG
• Experience playing CCGs and/or play-to-earn blockchain games
• Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management methodologies
• Hands-on development experience in any area – art, design, programming, QA, etc
• Knowledge of game marketing
• Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry
