Klang is looking for a Senior Game Designer (f/m/d) who embraces the possibility to have impact in many areas of the design process and is looking to join a world-class team exploring the unknown to bring an ambitious, yet carefully calculated vision and dream to life. SEED will build community and collaboration through its design and your impact will harmonize teams to ensure our vision for this game is well-articulated, leans with curiosity, while being grounded in a scalable process.
Requirements
What you will do:
- You will be embedded within a Feature team creating designs that communicate SEED’s tone and vision
- You will be part in creating pitches for potential features that support the vision and spearhead their prototyping process
- You will analyse complex design problems and drive finding feasible solutions for them
- As one of SEED’s visionary ambassadors you will drive meaningful discussions around the game vision and evangelize it within the team, defining risks and exploring opportunities
- You will review KPIs and the evolution and implementation of our user research data to ensure an iterative design process based on our player communities
- You will create clear and concise design documents that fit into the game’s vision
- You will create visual material, author parts of the design and implement it
Who we think will be a great fit:
- You have 4+ years experience as a professional game designer
- You have had impact as a game designer early in the design process, working with stakeholders to define the overarching experience of the game
- You are familiar with the processes and development of MMOs
- You have a great understanding of designing emotions through gameplay and what incentivises player’s behavior
- You have experience in creating/designing systems, that create emergent gameplay
- You are experienced working in an agile development environment
- You have great communication skills
- You are passionate about gaming, preferably multiplayer, management, sandbox and simulation games
Bonus:
- Experience in working on at least 1 live operated game
- Knowledge of Unity
- Experience of leading a team
