The Challenge Ahead
Tracktwenty is Electronics Arts mobile game studio based in the centre of Helsinki. The studio is responsible for bringing SimCity BuildIt to tablet and mobile and the game has more than 200 million installs to date. As well as growing SimCity BuildIt, the studios passionate team of programmers, artists, designers, marketers and analysts are working to create the next big hit to come out of Finland for EA Mobile.
Responsibilities
- Define, maintain and communicate design vision to the team and stake holders
- Collaborate on game's design, balance, economy and UX with the team
- Run design brainstorm sessions
- Leverage data from various sources to iterate game's design and player experience
- Concept and pitch high-level game ideas
Requirements
- At least one title launched/run live in a Lead or Senior Design role or multiple titles launched/run live as a Designer
- Excellent pitching and public speaking skills
- Ability to provide both focused and inspiring creative leadership
- Sensitivity to mass-market audience appeal, and the ability to innovate within it
- Passion for playing and making games and an excellent understanding of what makes them fun
- Solid understanding of popular social games and the design mechanics that work well within them
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with rapid prototyping and data-driven design and development
- Game industry experience in another discipline (programming, art, production, audio, etc.,)
- Managing and/or mentoring team experience
