Aboutthe Role
As a Game Designer (Ops), you will be involved in the cooperation with the publishing company, to keep optimizing game performance under the government regulation.
You will be responsible for designing specific features or contents of AAA titles for China to reach KPI target. You will cooperate with other studios to improve our games according to the feedback from our players. You should work closely with other designers, producers, engineers and artists during the production, launch and live operations of our games.
Whatyouwilldo
- Keep optimizing game performance/player experience from design/live ops perspective.
- Improve the current design and coming up with solutions to meet long-term operation requirements.
- Prototyping and designing gameplay and features for Chinese market.
- Working with artists and programmers to facilitate development and iteration of features.
- Respond to feedback, analytics, and test results in a constructive manner with logical and reasoned suggestions/solutions to improve on designs.
- Research and remain current on industry trends including new game genres, design methods, game themes and mechanics.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Shipped 1-2 projects as game designer with strong KPI-oriented mindset
- Familiar with production and operation of AAA title games
- Experience of designing systems to meet Chinese market
- Relevant experience of working on mobile/PC/Consoles titles released in China
- Excellent communicator (spoken and written) and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Nice to have:
- English skills would be an extra add on. (Spoken and written)
- Knowledge of different game genres
