This position is open to qualified individuals anywhere in the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Major design decisions on AAA PC/Console project
- Own, drive and communicate the vision for major design initiatives, new features, major design overhauls and hold brainstorming/playtest sessions
- Work closely and unify all other disciplines: engineers, artists and producers to design, tune and implement various game design directions
- Write proposals for major systems, new game modes and other large design initiatives
- Lead complex, challenging, impactful game aspects with minimal oversight
- Analyze internal and external metrics feedback and adjust design or balance the game if necessary
- Being subject matter expert in Game Design field: drive knowledge sharing on Department and Studio level
- Contribute to bizdev activities as subject matter expert
- Collaborate with other designers to ensure product vision is maintained throughout development
- Disseminate knowledge with other designers
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in Game Design working for AAA titles; experience with at least 2 AAA titles successfully shipped
- Professional game development experience as a game designer from pre-production to a full production cycle in several successful launched quality titles
- Have a breadth of game design and work at unifying all sub-disciplines, components and design specs to generate a successful result
- Analytical mind, you have to love the numbers and know how to play with them
- Know how to solve the problem and be oriented at critical thinking
- Be familiar with project management methodologies and software
- All written and verbal communication in the company is in English
- Know the gaming market and be able to do research if needed
