Scopely is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our LiveOps Automation team in Spain on a hybrid or remote basis.

Scopely's Midcore Division operates the award winning and industry leading Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force and WWE Champions games. We're moving cross platform and have two exciting and ambitious games in development to further strengthen our position and reputation within the industry.

What You Will Do

You’ll be joining the LiveOps Automation team at Scopely. We are responsible for building a sophisticated suite of LiveOps tools driven by Machine Learning (ML) automation and decision-making. This will change how Midcore manages its games in the future. We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Fullstack Engineer to join the Scopely LiveOps Automation Team. This is a Fullstack role with focus on backend technologies to serve as the integration glue of Live Services ML powered toolsuite to different gaming platforms

  • Work with LiveOps and other development teams in each game to implement new features
  • Building API services that are highly scalable and consistent to support ML capabilities
  • Work with other developers to implement tools to empower our Live Operators and Game Design teams in the creation of new and exciting game-play experiences
  • Live Services toolsuite support & troubleshooting
  • Contributing to technical plans and discussing the workflows and requirements with stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
  • Deep understanding of backend technologies development and best practices
  • Highly experienced delivering production quality, highly performant web application platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Experience on at least one major public cloud providers (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests
  • Full understanding of how to build and deploy RESTful services
  • Full understanding of Relational and Non-Relational databases
  • You've developed and co-designed web frontend tools and interfaces
  • You’ve developed secure web applications with RBAC controls
  • You’re a great tech communicator who knows how to share knowledge with non-technical people
  • You have a desire to seek out and take on user feedback to drive world class application development
Bonus Points
  • Experience writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for web applications
  • Experience on Serverless architectures
  • Experience working with ML systems and data pipelines
  • You’ve mentored less experienced team members
