The Role
We are excitedly looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our stellar team on Spider Tanks. The ideal candidate must have experience in commercial game development with expertise in operating Backend Systems: including the design, deployment, and operating systems that run server simulations of the game and validate user and game data and validate user and game data. Ideally, you have expertise, affinity, and passion for first-person and third-person shooters, and multiplayer online battle arenas or real-time-strategy genres are a must.

Responsibilities
- Operate Backend Systems: Design, deploy, and operate systems that run server simulations of the game and validate user and game data.
- Aggressively Automate: Design fault-tolerant systems first and then aggressively automate tooling as the use cases become more well-defined.
- Harden the Entire Stack: Work with internal and external experts to harden software, protocols, and everything in between.
- Identify and Work on Emerging Opportunities: Cryptocurrency continues to accelerate. As the use cases become well-defined, they will roll forward into emergent protocols and opportunities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working with TypeScript and NodeJS and a deep understanding
- Strong understanding of data structures, logic, algorithms, and optimization
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and deployment
- Positive and articulate communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written
- Brilliant imagination complimented by reliability and execution
- Self-motivated, stellar work ethic, fun collaborator

- Fearless with the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications
- Vue.js experience
- Prior successful experience working in a remote environment
