About the role
As a Frontend Software Engineer you will assist in defining and developing robust interfaces for our central technology software and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with other engineers, game development teams, product managers, and external teams. You’ll assist in scope definition, planning, estimation and tracking; evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform. You will support the development of an evolutionary roadmap aligned with new strategic initiatives; collaborate with game development teams, quality assurance and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions; interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed.
What you’ll achieve
- Be directly involved in architecting and implementing the frontends for our game services infrastructure
- Contribute to the entire lifecycle of our frontend applications,, including scoping, technical design, implementation, documentation, and deployment
- Design and implement reusable user interfaces and components
- Actively ensure that our codebase is robust and maintainable
- Thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process
- Provide guidance and serve as an example to other employees
What you’ll need to be successful
- Adept proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
- A thorough understanding of frontend technologies and frameworks such as React, Webpack, Node.js, and npm
- The ability and willingness to understand and adopt other such technologies as benefits individual use cases
- Familiarity with micro frontends and a conceptual understanding of microservice architectures
- Background knowledge of authentication systems and access/role based access control
- Experience working closely with backend developers and integrating with RESTful APIs
- Strict adherence to developing with unit and integration testing in mind
- Proven track record of defining and adhering to best practices for development
- Ability to work iteratively and collaboratively with designers, developers, and QA when implementing a product
- Experience with development in Agile environments
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
