KRAFTON America is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer, Team Lead for Americas Publishing Technology Team that builds products and services powering growth marketing and publishing activities.

Flexible, Remote and Work from Home options are available for this position until approximately May 2022. Afterwards we expect all employees to join us at our offices in Santa Monica, California or Saratoga Springs, NY where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.

Ideal Candidates:

You are a motivated individual who can work as part of a team or as the technical lead and help take a project from the design and planning phase through launch. The Senior Frontend Engineer will lead the Frontend team and will work closely with producers, designers, and quality assurance to implement new features as well as polish existing ones in the game client utilizing web technologies.

Scope of Responsibilities :

• Manage/lead a team of Front-End Engineers which will build and maintain the tools, including our player account system, to reach and communicate with our players efficiently and effectively
• Building and improving the UI and player experience utilizing Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML and SCSS
• Collaborating with production, designers, and quality assurance
• Be able to take new products and features from the design phase to production as technical lead or contributor
• Troubleshooting problems and tracking down the source of a bug. (Often, the frontend is where problems with other parts of the software manifest themselves.)
• Interview, hire, coach, train and develop staff. This includes, but is not limited to, employee development, evaluations, and performance management

Reporting Relationship:

The Senior Frontend Engineer, Team Lead will report to the Director of Publishing Technology.

Staff & Resources:

The team currently includes 4 full time employees of varying title levels across Frontend engineers. Additional headcount may be required to achieve our aggressive objectives, and the Senior Frontend Engineer, Team Lead will make the case for adding talent, as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience using Angular or another modern frontend framework
• Solid, reliable, and efficient code writing skills
• Experience with version control software (such as git and perforce)
• Good communication skills
• Performance, automated testing, and web page optimization skills
• Extensive knowledge of web development technologies
• Experience with client-server architecture
• BS degree in Computer Science or similar a plus
• A public repository of code to share (github, gitlab etc)
• Experience in the game industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to create, organize, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
