Front End Engineer, Web Team

You will be joining the Web Development team located in central Copenhagen and you will collaborate closely with front-end and back-end developers based on-site and in the San Francisco office. You will also be cooperating with UX/UI web designers to translate their ideas into cohesive front-end web experiences.

The Web Development team is responsible for maintaining and developing innovative features on Unity’s customer-facing websites. You will be working towards creating best in class web interfaces that bring our users experiences closer to our real-time 3D based software. Your projects will have a direct impact on the users’ perception of our products and brand. Part of your tasks will also be to make decisions ensuring that we build a durable front-end architecture.

Responsibilities

• Migration of unity3d.com to unity.com and ensure maintainability, scalability and reliability through effective code
• Develop, implement and maintain new customer-facing UI and improve our existing ones to be future proof
• Collaborate with multiple teams across different time zones, and ensuring high-quality front-end development
• Contribute, decide and collaborate on the future of our tech stack

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and SCSS
• Experience with either Vue or React or similar modern framework
• Passionate for developing mobile-first and cross-browser compatible websites
• Passionate for Performance, SEO, and Accessibility
• Ability to communicate clearly your ideas, solutions and talk about them with the team

Bonus points

• Experience with Drupal 8
• Experience with Pattern libraries
• Some familiarity with Twig or PHP
