This role is key to facilitating, supporting and developing the use of systems and technology across the business. This will include the effective use of Oracle E- Business Suite, ensuring that system queries are efficiently and professionally dealt with in order to meet the needs of the firm.
The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will report to the Finance Systems Manager to work closely in building strong relationships with the business; helping deliver an impeccable service supporting the firm's existing systems, whilst preparing for the implementation of new systems.
This is a highly visible position which will play an integral role in the success of new business initiatives as well as the continued success of current processes.
Your role within our Kingdom
- Working as a liaison between business users and other technology teams in the daily support of Oracle EBS and other peripheral finance applications including Apex, Kofax and Concur
- Recording and tracking of user issues, and managing the resolution of tickets through both offshore and onshore teams
- Developing ad- hoc queries to aid in the identification and analysis of issues
- Partners with Application owners and Business Analysts to gain a good understanding of our business processes and objectives. Understands the business process flows and system flows between other internal/external systems and Oracle eBusiness Suite
- Perform functional and gap analysis, gather business requirements, identify CEMLI’s and translate into functional specifications, documented using MD050’s, BR100’s from Oracle AIM or similar methodology
- Enforce adherence to established application development and project management methodologies
- Conduct functional testing while assisting business owners with acceptance testing of results for enhancements or new functionality, using developed test plans and scripts.
- Support the IT Global Quarterly release process to deliver continuous enhancements / improvements to Finance applications and processes
- Participate in the planning, execution and roll out of Oracle application solutions and roadmap projects
- Work closely with the users of financial applications to be able to identify, develop and deliver training on system functionality
Skills to create thrills
- Relevant functional and support experience using Oracle EBS R12 including General Ledger (GL), Subledger Accounting (SLA), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), iExpenses, iProcurement, and Advanced Global Intercompany system (AGIS)
- Strong knowledge of SQL scripting required for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of interfaces, workflow, AME and underlying Oracle tables required
- Strong understanding of business and accounting principles
- Clear communicator able to present ideas/requirements, drive decisions and document solutions
- Experience in Oracle EBS implementation projects and knowledge of project lifecycle
- Strong Microsoft Office skillset
- End User Training experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems or Finance and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
