Senior Finance Manager, EA Studios

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Located at our largest studio campus in Burnaby, B.C., this Senior Finance Manager role reports into the Senior Finance Director, EA Studios. The Senior Finance Manager role offers an excellent opportunity to be a collaborative business partner and trusted advisor supporting the EA SPORTS Vancouver team responsible for our FIFA, NHL and UFC franchises. This position will work closely with the Executive Producer of FIFA HD, the Senior Producer of NHL and UFC Franchises, and VP, Operations of EA SPORTS Vancouver while directly managing a team of 3 financial analysts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for executing all financial planning and analysis activities for the EA Vancouver SPORTS studio. Overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and analysis, and effectively communicating results to enhance and enable decision making.
- Working closely with studio business partners on developing the fiscal year plan/forecast and long range model for research and development spend, including headcount, as well as proactively managing risks and opportunities.
- Live service revenue forecasting and reporting, working closely with the Marketing and Development teams to understand performance trends.
- Monitoring the business unit P&L, including partnering with Publishing for sales results and Business Affairs for license costs.
- Preparing management reporting on P&L performance versus fiscal year plan, forecast and long range strategic planning targets.
- Providing financial modeling and analysis for new IPs and new business models.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of financial analysis and management reporting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Significant experience in complex financial modelling and forecasting.
- Expert knowledge of Excel and experience in Hyperion, Oracle or large financial planning software is a plus.
- Managerial experience hiring, managing, and developing high performing teams

- Experience with executive presentations to Senior Management with the right balance of detail, messaging and visualizations.
