The Activision Blizzard finance team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and financially minded individual to join as the Senior Finance Manager for Battle.net. The position is a dynamic and visible role that will involve financial analysis and reporting, and will be a key partner to the Battle.net commercial team. Battle.net is the platform that facilitates togetherness, connection, and belonging for Blizzard and Activision players. Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’re currently in a work-from-home model , and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is may begin as a remote position but will transition to at least a partial in-office position based out of Santa Monica, CA or Irvine, CA. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

Responsibilities

The Battle.net Senior Finance Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Drive strategic analysis for the Battle.net platform in partnership with Battle.net commercial, franchise commercial & business unit finance, and corporate finance teams

· Coordinate game and franchise forecasting with the franchise commercial and finance teams.

· Track, report and analyze ad-hoc, weekly and monthly financial performance for the Battle.net platform on a product and regional basis to help commercial leadership identify risks and opportunities

· Develop financial and strategic analysis to provide clarity on various commercial opportunities, including platform-led franchise-wide promotions, regional and global monetization options, new content acquisition, etc.

· Direct data-led financial modeling of key strategic initiatives to impact commercial KPIs of reach, engagement, and monetization

· Assist in development of Annual Operating Plan based on long-range expected content releases and platform enhancements in conjunction with historical platform performance

· Lead long-range planning financial modeling to provide key strategic and financial visibility into potential decisions/trade-offs

Requirements

The successful candidate must have the experience to drive the financial success of a complex, high growth digital platform. In addition, they will possess absolute integrity. Aligned with the cultural values and business focus of Activision Blizzard, qualified candidates must demonstrate the following traits:

· Leveraging proven analytical capabilities, the successful candidate will be a strong cross-functional collaborator and help drive key operational outcomes and investments.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience (commercial/digital sales, investment banking, strategic finance, and/or corporate strategy preferred), ideally in the games/technology/media industry

· Extensive experience modeling technical financial scenarios in Excel and outputting complex concepts into executive materials

· Strong critical thinking: ability to communicate complex concepts at a high level to executives

· Excellent interpersonal skills to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders all over the world (disciplines, regions, etc.).

· Ability to quickly synthesize full P/L detail and identify underlying economics

· Prior industry experience in gaming, consumer software, or entertainment.

· Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
