Lead External Producer, PlayStation Studios Mobile
San Mateo, California or remote
Be an ambassador for PlayStation, collaborating with top mobile game developers in evaluating, producing and releasing PlayStation Studios Mobile games at the highest level of quality, on time and on budget.
Manage the development and approval process for mobile products through the entire lifecycle, building high value partnerships to ensure trust and satisfaction for all partners.
Lead a diverse team of External Producers across a range of projects, studios and locations.
The Role:
- Coach and manage a team of External Producers
- Collate, distill and communicate key information from your team and projects to stakeholders
- Oversee multiple projects throughout the development and approval process
- Enable and accelerate requests between external developer and PlayStation services
- Lead review, feedback, and validation process to ensure PlayStation Studios quality standards
- Ensure alignment between all partners, ensuring IP holder and brand needs are met
- Proactive identification and management of project risks
- Organization and verification of project deliverables
- Tracking of project costs and payments against their approved budgets
- Effectively present the project and its details to other audiences
- Invoke, advise and improve PlayStation mobile development best practices
What we're looking for:
- An expert people manager, able to lead by example
- An open communicator, you are respectful of others and an active listener
- Proactive, organized, can multi-task and prioritize your workload in a fast-paced environment
- Project management experience gained in the video game industry with expert knowledge of game production methods and tools
- Capable of working through ambiguity, can work independently to drive impact, and clearly communicate needs and context to leadership
- Passionate about game development with a deep understanding of mobile game mechanics and first-hand knowledge of what it takes to execute at a AAA quality level
- Experience working with internal and external partners, and world-renowned brands, a strong plus

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$139,600 — $209,400 USD
