The Overwatch team is looking for a talented Senior Events Designer!
We are searching for a Senior Designer with a passion for creating unique and diverse gameplay--a Jack/Jill of all Trades, if you will. You love working on diverse content: from system design, to new co-operative and competitive gameplay modes, to themed events that celebrate all types of holidays and cultures.
You have experience with games as a live service and work well with strict deadlines, but love the challenge of changing your focus from one milestone to another.
Exciting for you is prototyping and iterating on content until the fun is found, but have no issue with killing your darlings.
You will work with our Lead Events Designer and other disciplines to plan out future content, prototype new gameplay and systems, and iterate on new ideas that will keep the future of Overwatch exciting and representative of our fan base.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in game design (specifically System, Gameplay, and/or Mission/World design).
- Experience working on a live service game with consistent deadlines.
- Experience creating, prototyping, and then polishing various gameplay systems and content types.
- Strong technical skills (specifically with visual scripting).
- Strong communication skills.
Pluses
- CS background or training.
- Passion for gaming, specifically the shooter genre (both competitive and single player).
- Love of the Overwatch IP.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
