Romero Games Ltd is looking for a Senior Environment Concept Artist to join our team on a full-time basis. Help us create a unique world and unique location for titles developed for consoles and PC. We are looking for an individual with senior-level experience, but open to mid-level experience with exceptional talent and passion for creating unifying strong visuals.
Please note: This is not an entry level position.
This position is open to remote work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Art Director to ensure that the concept art follows the needs of the project and the visual direction
- Your goal is to create some fantastic artworks that will inspire the team and help to unify and develop further the art vision
- Create high-quality final concept art environments
- Abilities to quickly iterate with black & white or quick color sketches to help define and develop unique design, of natural and architectural elements, up to more specific objects design
- Ability to both give and receive constructive feedback
- Collaborate with fellow artists, team leads and design departments to produce the highest quality concept that answers the needs of the projects at several levels
Skills required
- A portfolio reflecting high-quality final concept art and the preparation work
- Highly proficient in Photoshop and/or similar programs
- Strong Drawing/painting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- At least 5 years of professional experience
Preferences
- Knowledge in 3D packages (Zbrush, 3Dcoat, …) is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in our office in Galway, Ireland
