We're looking to hire a Senior Environment Concept Artist to join our team!
What You’ll Do:
- Translate the vision of the designers and artists to concept art and ensure that all work conforms to the technical and stylistic specifications set forth.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, producers, and engineers to achieve a unified vision for our project.
- Work closely with project leads to define and refine the style and look of the game.
- Create concept art matching the game’s style.
- Attend reviews, take feedback, and iterate on concepts where needed.
- Approach systematically, all areas of concept art creation. Create storyboards, sketches, in-game 2D screens, layouts, and color comps.
What You Bring:
- Expertise in creating concept art for environments, architecture, and diverse contexts.
- 5+ years experience as a Concept Artist.
- An exemplary portfolio that demonstrates a strong artistic style and design sensibility for environments.
- Experience communicating well with different team disciplines and working within existing project constraints.
- Openness for feedback and sharing knowledge with other concept artists.
- Self-starting personality, willing to pitch in on many areas with regards to concept support.
- Strong understanding of design and color theory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Bonus Points:
- An art degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of game production pipeline. Experience shipping multiple game titles.
- Strong ability to create realistic and uniquely styled characters, weapons, and vehicles.
- Being able to integrate 3D tools in your workflow (Blender, 3Ds Max, zBrush ) is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience with a game engine such as Unreal.
